I have used it for about 2 wks and it is better than other alternatives.

* No external power adapter. Very simple to use.
* It DOES keep my laptop ice cold. I use my laptop everyday for almost 5~6 hrs. With this cooling pad, my laptop never gets overheated, so it does not get slowed or lagged at all.
* Super super quite. I have tried lots of different cooling pads out there. Many of them (including well-known brands like Logitech, belkin etc) so annoyed me by making that `whooooooo~~eeeeeeing' noise. But, this one is by far one of the most silent pads I have ever used.
* ERGONOMIC design. This cooling pad tilts towards you, so when you do computer work (e.g. writing, gaming etc) for long periods of time, your hands/arms will not get tired. It's ERGONOMIC!
* The size of the pad is perfect for my 15.6" Samsung laptop. There's about 1 inch on either side.
