YOU, TOO, CAN BE A COMPUTER REPAIR WIZARD!!!, April 5, 2012 By The Old Teacher "Dan" (Georgia) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Apple Keyboard with Top Case Assembly for Select Macbook A1181 Laptops (Personal Computers) 63 years old. No hair. Not even on my legs. And I was able to remove the frustratingly almost useless keyboard from my MacBook and replace it with this new one in under 15 minutes. Went to the web and watched the young lady do the work. Each single screw removed before my eyes. Took the new one out of the box, and, if it isn't real Apple, then someone is doing a great job fooling everyone. Yep. It's Apple. And the old one exited easily and the new one entered just as easily. We, those of us of an age, need to remember that the parts of the computer we don't understand are the parts of the computer we can't get to or fix anyway, so, if there is a replacement part, and if you've ever changed your own oil in your 1969 Ford Galaxy 500 hard-top convertible (Boy! That was a car, wasn't it?), then you can do this sort of stuff. The young lady showing the change-out did go a bit fast, so I found the same thing in pictures and words, a step-by-step video manual, in color, no less... Read more

I too had some reservations about buying the used keyboard due to the exaggerated description of its condition. However, it is VERY clean, and thus, it looks new albeit some missing corner pieces and side blemishes (no big deal). It's fully functional and the right version with media controls on the right side. At 20 dollars, it's one of the cheapest and cleanest keyboard online. I researched eBay and google shopping; they are either very expensive and new or poor condition and moderately expensive, not including the $10-23 hidden shipping cost! I am very happy with this purchase from this company.

All in all this was a great purchase and I'd do it again!
